One of the most beautiful roads in the Azores, and in all of Portugal perhaps.
I have seen the road briefly in one of the photos from the Azores Rallye and I had to find it. This proved to be quite a difficult task as it’s not a known tourist location. I ended up asking the locals about it and finally found it.
It is a dirt road for the locals and their tractors, but the trees on the side make it one of the most beautiful and symmetrical roads I’ve ever seen.
As I was there in early spring, the hortensias did not bloom yet. Otherwise, the side of the road would have also been full of flowers.
